1. Traveling by bus to Seignosse with the „RipCurl-Surfshuttle“
When traveling to Southfrance by bus you don`t have to worry about anything like direction, train or flight connections. Just relax in your seat! For your comfort you get DVD, video, musik, toilet and a sleepingchair. 1 – 2 travel tour guides accompany you during the busride, don`t hesitate to ask them if you have any questions. Everyone receives a small service-package, so noone gets bored during the trip. We have one partner doing those busrides, the STam GmbH & Co.KG. They have all the needed concessions, for every trip of the „RipCurl Surfshuttle“ they cooperate with a buscompany of the north of Germany.
2. Do we have an age limit for our trips?
No we don`t hava an age limit. Everybody is welcomed! But we need a letter of agreement from the parents for children between 16 and under 18 years, that they are allowed to go on this holiday with us. For children under 16 years of age at least one adult (guardian) needs to travel with them.
3. What is the average age of our guests?
The average age depends on the destination and the season of the year. For example are during the summerholidays most of our guests in the "Surfvilla" are between 18 and 28 years old. In the early and late part of the season the average rises up between 24 and 44. In Morocco our guests are between 24 and 34, the same for Fuerteventura. The people doing language holidays are mixed.
4. Do we offer Single-Holidays?
We don`t offer single holidays, but on our trips noone stays alone for long. It is easy to find people on the same level and mostly all of the guests become a little "surf-family".
5. Do children get a discount on our trips?
Children until 11 years of age get a discount of 15 % off the price.
6. My child wants to go alone on the trip - can the tour guide be responsible the child care?
Our teamer accompany the tour from the beginning until the end. They help with questions or problems at all times, but they are not responsible or take the responsibility for the children under 18 years of age. Thats why we need the agreement from of the parents for children between 16 and under 18. Children under 16 years of age can only go on one of our trips if a legal guardian comes with them.
7. How much luggage can I take with me? Is it possible to bring my own surfboard?
You can take one suitcase (NO hard-top cases!) OR one travelbag (80 cm long / 40 cm high / 40 cm deep) and one piece of hand luggage.
You have the opportunity to take your own board on the bus. Every bus can only transport a couple of boeards, so you have to tell us in the booking form or in due time before the date of departure and then we tell you if it is still possible to take your board on the bus. The fee for taking a board is 20 €. The board cannot be longer than 7’3, 2m.
Your luggage is not insured on the trip! Who likes can book a travel insurance in addition to the package.
8.Will the booked holiday happen for sure?
If we really don`t have enough bookings for a certain date it could be possible that the agency cancels the trip until 21 days before the day of departure. In this case you could for example do a rebooking to another date for free. If it might happen that we don`t get to the number of 5 guests concerning the cities of boarding (for example only 3 people want to start in Hamburg), then we give notice to you, so you can choose a new location for your departure.
9. Is it possible to make seatreservations for the bus?
No you can`t, you just take a seat when you arrive at the bus. In special cases (e.g.handicap or traveling with small children) you can talk with the tour guide if it is possible to change seats. But you can`t do that ahead. Of course the tour guides look out that connected seats stay unoccupied for groups.
10. Can I book only accommodation without the busride?
Yes it is possible to book only accommodation and to come to France on your own. During the high season you get a discount of 60,00 € when you go on your own. Before and after the high season it is possible anyway to arrive on your own, because the busride is not included. But only to France one can take the RipCurl Bus, to every other destinations you have to manage your journey by yourselve.
11. Do I have to participate in the excursions?
The daily trips are optional. You can book them individually at the location. Just ask your teamer!
12. How do we calculate the price?
The price is a part of the basic rate of the different destinations and everything you want to book on top. E.g. basic price + the fee for your city of departure + extra fee for booking a double bed + surfcourse. Optionally we offer packages of insurances, so you don`t have to worry and enjoy your holiday.
13. Can i get any VISA over Maranga? Do I need a valid passport?
For needed visa your responsible on your own. For german citizens it is possible to travel with your I.D. or passport through Europe. Traveling to Morocco or Costa Rica you need a valid passport, that is valid for at least six more months.
